Default Are Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall all together?

I picked a Character out of Factions.

What happens if my wife picks a character out of Nightfall?
Will I be able to play with her online? Sorry confused.

short answer: yes
long answer: yes, but after you finish the starter areas.

You will be able to party with others from other chapters (in nightfall there are 3 missions and in factions there are 2--and you can go back to these areas again even after you have completed them), you will be able to move about the chapters/campaigns after these are completed. You will be able to do missions with characters from other chapters too--they just need to get to where you are
(the ONLY place that you can not go back to is pre-searing--prophecies)

Ok, right now i'm in like Asian in the game. Since I am an Assassin.

See I bought the Trilogy thing.

Now, I noticed I could choose from either.
I wanted to be an assassin.

So your saying after I get passed this (Asian)Monastery place I will be able to meet up with her right?
So eventually no matter what game you play from you all end up in the same area right? Just starting zones are different right?

All of the campaigns can be connected. For example, you start a character in Factions. Once you've progressed enough to reach the "hub" city for that campaign, in this case, Kaineng, there are quests that will take you to the hub cities in the other campaigns... Lion's Arch for Prophecies and Kamadan for Nightfall. If your wife wanted to meet you in Factions, she would have to progress far enough to unlock campaign travel in Nightfall, take the quest for traveling to Kaineng, and boom... yer killin' stuff in tandem.

Note that characters from other campaigns get put down a bit of a ways into the stories for that particular land. You can walk (well... run, really) to the starting areas of the different campaigns and do the missions, but the quests will not be available to a non-native character.

Edit after reading the above post: The different campaigns are separate places, but characters can move freely between them. That's probably the short answer to your original question.

All characters can to go all campaigns and there are no long term disadvantages of starting in one campaign over the other unless you're doing Legendary Defender of Ascalon title.

Alright this is making more sense, so it really comes down to meeting up. What you said sounds complicated, but I'm sure it's easy in game. :rays::

Cause in the trial game, I was in Ascalon City or something, then I went and fought against four people, and ended up in a fiery place which i believe is progressed thing your both talking about. Then it's like your in the main game.
Least thats how it felt for me. Then my trial ended! xDD

This is an awesome forum. I didn't think anyone would even answer me.
lol

I have seen a lot of talk about Titles, what do they do for you or are they completely and purely aesthetic ?

your trial was from prophecies...the area you started in was called pre-searing, the firey part was ...the searing. That was the starter area for the prophecies chapter, it is the only area that after leaving, you can not return to....everywhere else in the game can be gotten to by any pve character started in any of the chapters.

titles...I wouldnt worry about them, enjoy the game.

The easiest way to play with your wife immediately would be to make a character in the same campaign, as a new player everything will seem confusing otherwise.. ^_^ however as others have said once you make it to the main city for that campaign you can travel between them and meet up with your wife on any character made on any campaign. A notification will let tell you who to talk to in order to travel once you get there.

After doing this once you won't have to again unless it's a new character and travel between campaigns is as easy as clicking on your map and going through a loading screen.

This wiki page should give you all the gory details about when, where, how, etc to do this.

All good advice, but if it was me, I'd join a guild. You can read wiki and tips till your eyes bleed but human advice on tap trumps that imho

All mentioned above but to add.
Yes you can travel back to the starting area of campaigns you didn't start in, you can do all the starter missions, but you can't do quests there (with the exception of a few bridging quests in nigthfall and festival quests in factions). So e.g. if you finish factions starter area in with your sin but your wife didn't finish the starter area in nightfall, you can travel to her, you can team up, you can help her fight, but you can't take the quests she has to do, so it's mostly running after her and helping in killing cause she will have the questmarker.

After you both done the starter area of the campagin you started in you can travel everywhere and 99% of the quests is the same.

The exception is the attribute points quest. In factions both of them are on the starter island and so your wife can't do it, but don't have to do them with you either. In nightfall however the second one is on the mainland and it is part of the main questline if you started in Nightfall. It is also a quest that is grinding a bit, so be prepared that while you are ready to move on, your wife needs to farm points before she can go on.

"Attribute points quests"?
Are these quests that give more attributes to your character? They seem crucial.

you can do them before you reach 20....in fact you *should* pick them up and complete them before you reach 20 or leave the starter island. They give you add'l points to spread across your attibutes and make your skills more effective. Also on a side note, don't spread your points across more than 2-3 attributes until you are much more familiar with the game. One of those you invest in should be your profession's primary attribute.

Awesome thanks!
I think until I can get my casting staff, I will put them in Critical Strike and Shadow Arts.

Thanks again!

Just correcting this...
The second attribute quest in Nightfall is NOT on the mainland. Both quests are picked up and completed in the second city you ever reach, Sunspear Great Hall. The quests require you to rank up in the Sunspear title track.

But for a character there is only 2 Attribute Quests they can take correct? So you can gain 30 more Attributes.

Yip, only 30 more points thats it. If you start in factions you can do them pretty early in game (on the starter island). If you start in Nightfall you do one on the island and one after the first mission on the mainland. If you start in prophecy's....well the first one is after 18 out of 25 missions, the second after 19 out of 25 missions. So pretty late into the campaign.
